The staff of the Michigan Department of Education's Nutrition Programs Team is pleased to announce the 2017 Michigan June Nutrition Conference in Frankenmuth, Michigan. This comprehensive conference opens its doors to professionals of food distribution programs, child and adult feeding programs, school nutrition, and other professionals and individuals interested in the fields of nutrition, food programming, school management, government, and public health. This conference aims to expand attendees' nutrition and programming capabilities and ideas, to encourage networking, and to offer attendees opportunities to get their adult and child nutrition program questions answered. It is not meant to take the place of the requirements trainings offered by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) and other organizations relevant to participants' specialties, which detail specific information required to operate these programs. Conference sessions will provide continuing education credit hours that can be used toward credentialing needed for various professions. Date: Wednesday and Thursday, June 21-22, 2017, with Pre-conference and Post-conference options (See Tentative Schedule, Below) Cost: per day, with additional Pre-conference and Post-conference options (see below). Please register for each day and item that you wish to attend. Conference Meals:  Breakfast will be provided on Thursday. Lunch will be provided each day. See Pre- and Post-conference schedules for corresponding meal options. Registration Deadline: June 6, 2017 Location: Barvarian Inn of Frankenmuth, 1 Covered Bridge Ln, Frankenmuth, MI 48734  Participants will be responsible for their own lodging. Hotel registration deadline: May 19, 2017. However, as long as rooms are available, rooms can be reserved at the group rate after the deadline has passed.
